About Tavos Tires

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–7 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Tavos Tires at (914) 720-3284; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 113 reviews, which is a strong result for a tire shop in White Plains and suggests consistent service.

Had a nail in my tire. I went to Mavis and they told me I had to wait 2 hours. I didn't want to wait so I found this place as it was around the corner. They took me right away and within 10 minutes my tire was fixed. Excellent customer service. Gus was great in assisting me. Would definitely recommend to anyone that has any tire issues.

Tavos Tires are the best! Very honest and reasonable price quotes and excellent service. Initially took my brother’s car that had a slow leak in the front passenger tire to a reputable 4.5-star rated discount tire place and they told me all 4 tires needed to be replaced. When I asked about the slow leak and if there was a nail in the tire - the guy lied and said they checked and no nail in the tire and the tires were bad. Went to Tavos and they found the nail under two seconds - patched it for $25 and said we really only needed to replace two of the tires and wasn’t as bad as the other guys said. Highly recommend this honest small business!

My husband, Serge, was trying to get tires for wheels that he bought for my VW Touareg for a while. Just when he thought he found them, it wound up being a whole mess. The guys at Tavo not only were able to fix the mess but patched one of the tires that the previous shop cut while trying to install it on the wheel. They were very kind at answering all his questions (which he is never short of lol) and displayed depth of knowledge and professionalism. Even tho this was a few months ago, he still raves about this company and his experience there. Their prices are fair and have good quality tires if you need a spare, or full set.
